As the clock of the system ticks
you feel you just got to have a fix,
like everyone around you, in the grind.
Why do you struggle, sweat and bleed?
when the one thing that you truly need
doesn't cost a dime you'll find.

Sometimes to show Him your love I say
you got to turn your back and walk away
from pursuing pleasure and selfish gain.
Sometimes to call yourself His friend
you got to be the enemy of this world you're in,
cause the lusts of this world stand against His reign.

It's so easy to be led astray by the devices of this present day
when everything you see is a lie.
In a trance and under a spell, your soul is in a prison cell,
but you can break out if you really try.

and wonder hoe He could live inside of you?
Did you ever wanna hold the hand of the Maker of earth

but what occupies your life so much more
than the one that you call Lord and King?

Step out and go some place to pray

the dreams you seek that take all your time,
